CLASSROOM CONDUCT
1. Be on time for class.
2. Be prepared for class with all necessary
supplies and work.
3. Act respectfully and be responsible.
4. Carry planner at ALL TIMES.
5. Electronic devices are to be off and out of sight. (Cell phones will be
confiscated.)
ATTENDANCE
Please review the attendance policy located in the planner. A note must be sent with the student the day he/she returns to school following an absence.
STUDENT PLANNERS
Planners, provided by CLMS, are to be carried at all times. They will be used for homework assignments, hall passes, and parent-teacher communication. Students are expected to keep their planners in good condition (pages intact, no ripped or folded pages). Lost planners MUST be replaced. Replacement planner is to be paid for by the student.
LOCKERS
Lockers are provided for storage of school and personal items. Only necessary school supplies can be brought into the classroom. Back packs MUST fit in the locker. No stickers or tape may be used in lockers, magnets only.

MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES
• pack of pencils and zipper pouch to carry them
• loose-leaf paper
• 1 two inch – 3 ring binders with subject dividers
• 2 composition notebooks
• 6 spiral notebooks – 70 pages (2 for this 9 weeks)
• 6 glue sticks
• black or blue pen
Donations needed for classroom use:
• boxes of tissues
• hand sanitizer
• Clorox wipes
• gallon size zip-lock bags
• quart and sandwich size zip-lock bags
Students need these items at home for math homework:
• Compass
• protractor
• calculator
• ruler
HOMEWORK
Homework is an extension of classroom activities. Expect homework nightly. Homework will be posted on the board in each classroom. Students are responsible for writing the assignments in their planners. These assignments are part of the student’s grade. Homework must be completed by the assigned date.
EXTRA HELP
Extra help is available upon request with advanced notice.
MAKE-UP WORK
All classroom make-up work must be completed within three days of a student’s return to school. Students are responsible for picking up missed assignments and scheduling times to make up tests and quizzes. Extreme cases will be handled on an individual basis. For assignments due to extended excused absences, call the CLMS Guidance Department.
